Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support is an advanced, instructor-led  Renewal Course designed specifically for those with a current ACLS Provider card. It highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. Successful course completion includes demonstrating skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test and a written test. Upon successful completion, students receive an ACLS Provider card, valid for two years. 

MINIMUM REGISTRATION IS 3 STUDENTS. YOU WILL RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS IF THE CLASS IS CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR CHANGE CLASSES PLEASE PROVIDE AT LEAST 24 HOURS NOTICE. E-Cards will be issued. Please arrange to pick up an ACLS book from Clinical Services and complete the ACLS Precourse Self Assessment at eLearing.heart.org, You will need to bring the ACLS Precourse Self Assessment certificate to class. 

To participate in the BLS CPR Refresher course, you must have a valid AHA CPR Card that has not yet expired.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

MINIMUM REGISTRATION IS 2 STUDENTS. You will receive instructions if the class is cancelled due to low enrollment. If you need to cancel or change classes please contact with at least 24 hrs. notice. E-Cards will be issued.
